The Electricity Consumption Survey is commisioned by Single Buyer, a ring-fenced entity under Tenaga Nasional Berhad. The objective is to collect information from households and businesses in Peninsular Malaysia regarding their energy consumption. The data gathered is used to forecast the amount of electricity that needs to be generated for the country in the future, especially with the introduction of Electric Vehicle, Solar PV and Energy Efficiency initiatives.
